A friend of mine just got a new smartphone. His first. Welcome to the 21st century. He’s been setting it up and checking out the features. It has all sorts of fun things, like including emoticons in sms messages. (yes, I realize that is redundant).

The funny thing (to me, anyway) is that until he started playing with his phone and sending me random emoticons, I hadn’t realized that I have the power too!

Ah, fun with technology.

The technology currently in our smart phones have more than 100 times the computing power of the average satellite. How crazy is that? And yet, what do I use my smart phone for? Checking email, Facebook, and sending silly emoticons to friends.
